What does ZWSoft offer? What applications do they provide? What do they do?

ZWSOFT is a Chinese-owned company that offers five applications worldwide. In this post, we will go through them one by one.

First is ZWCAD, which has 2D functionality for sketching, drawing, manipulating those things. It is a straightforward but capable solution meant to be an alternative or replacement for Autodesk’s AutoCAD offering.

Second is ZW3D, which is a CAD/CAM solution. It offers parametric modeling, 2D, and 3D capabilities. It also offers machining functionality, including two to five axes, and some turning stuff as well.

The third is ZWSim. Today, it’s focused on electromagnetics, which is certainly applicable to today’s smart connected products. They will also be releasing some structural analysis capabilities very soon.

The next one is called CAD Pockets, which is basically a 2D viewer. You can bring up 2D drawings, look at them, pan zoom around, interrogate a little bit, take measurements, and things like that.

And that is complemented by another application, the fifth one, called CADbro which is their 3D viewer. You can bring up a 3D model, spin it, pan zoom, take measurements, and do markups.

Those are the five applications. Now, what’s interesting about this is that they’re all essentially based within the same suite. So, there’s all sorts of interoperability between them. They’re all integrated, and you can pass stuff back and forth between them. So, what’s the application here? If you’re a smaller business and looking for a well-rounded set of capabilities at a lower cost, then this is a good option for you to consider. So, that’s it. That’s ZWSOFT.

Take care and talk soon.
