Broader access to fluids simulation has been a great boon. But today, is it more important to have more integration with other software or more specialized capabilities?
Productivity for today’s simulation analysts is paramount. And they can get more done in less time with integrated suites. Why? They don’t have to manually drive the simulation process. Integration helps do it for them. This is especially true for scenarios where little changes upstream, like modifications made to a 3D model, need to be quickly propagated downstream into the simulation model and solved again.
Doh! I need to sharpen my arguments a little more.
Well, I lost the last debate. So I had a consequence to fulfill. This time, I let my daughters, ages 6 and 8, give me a makeover.
Careful. Looking at it too long might scar you for life.
Tech4PD is a web show hosted by Chad Jackson of Lifecycle Insights and Jim Brown of Tech-Clarity that covers the most important issues in technologies used for product development. The shows include a debate. The loser of each debate must fulfill a painful or embarassing consequence shown on the next show.
In this episode, duelling analysts Jim Brown and Chad Jackson agree on the benefits for early stage CFD, but get into a heated debate about the value of integrated solutions. You can watch below or at this episode's page on ENGINEERING.com.
